Do you agree that swimming is the best activity for body workouts?

The best activity for physical exercise is swimming.

Swimming keeps each and every part of your body active and it is a whole body exercise. I think swimming is the fastest solution to get your body in good shape. It does not matter if you could not maintain your body or go regularly to gym due to some unavoidable reasons. Just swim for a few days and you will have girls texting you and complimenting you about your physique.

Swimming incorporates more from your upper body as well. Your legs are powerful, large muscles that you use to kick yourself through the water; they contribute the most to swimming. Your quadriceps, glutes, hamstrings and calves all play a role. However, your arms and upper body muscles also work to pull your body through the water. In running, your upper body moves in order to keep the exercise efficient, but does not have to work against resistance as in swimming. In both activities, the core muscles work to stabilize the spine.

I prefer swimming. I find it more fun and less rough on my joints. I find you can maintain a higher level of intensity in swimming for much longer periods. It's because water provides much more resistance than air. Given that water is denser than air. In terms of effectiveness and a goal to burn more calories, swimming indeed is a better form of cardio than running. Swimming will also negate the risk of any injury to the joints in the lower body such as ankles, hips and knees. You can get the same kind of cardio workout from either running or swimming. But, the greatest difference is that your body will not be harmed as much with swimming as it is from running. My knees do not hurt or feel swollen after swim sessions and I'm sure it's the buoyancy one experiences in water you'll do less damage to your body if you opt for swimming. I found that I build more muscle when I swim.

In addition to all of these, a swimmer body looks the most aesthetic and proportionate.
